[Effect of a highly dispersed zinc powder and of zinc sulphate on endogenous zinc and iron levels in animal organs and tissues]
Izv Akad Nauk SSSR Biol. 1988 Mar-Apr;(2):305-11.

The influence of zinc sulphate (2,5 mg/kg weight) and fine zinc dust (2,5,100 mg/kg weight) at single subcutaneous introduction into animals on the endogenous Zn and Fe level in blood, liver and spleen. The introduced compounds cause phase changes in endogenous Fe and Zn level in all the studied doses, and the extent of changes was found to be similar upon introduction of both zinc sulphate and fine Zn dust. The changes in the metal content in blood and liver were of symbate character at all the doses studied, and in spleen, were symbate at doses of two and five mg/kg weight, and antibate, at 100 mg/kg weight.
